The drive to Valdez, Alaska is dotted with stunning glaciers and waterfalls. The town, itself, is charming, with scenic hikes and a lovely marina.
I met an interesting yak farmer (and his interesting yaks!) at Circle F Ranch in a quiet stretch of Alaska, and we discussed animal conservation.
McCarthy and Kennecott, Alaska might be the most fascinating places I’ve ever been. The best way to learn about them is to experience them, so hang on. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.

Under the shadow of America’s tallest mountain, Denali, the Parks Highway is a gorgeous route through central Alaska.
I spent some time celebrating Christmas early at North Pole, Alaska. I enjoyed the lake and Santa’s Workshop along with some wonderful RVing friends.
The first Alaskan city I had a chance to explore was Fairbanks, home of the Midnight Sun baseball game held annually on the summer solstice.
